With the holiday season officially upon us, there’s no denying the hustle and bustle of the season is in full swing.  Whether you’re preparing for guests, or preparing to travel, all of the preparations and excitement for the season can definitely take a toll on you both mentally and physically.  There are a few ways that you can relax before the rush, and find a little calm before the storm, and it all starts with a few minutes of me time.

Taking a few minutes to relax, rest, and recharge can be good for the mind body and soul, and can help you become better prepared to tackle the tasks ahead.  While taking a break from my busy holiday preparations, I made myself a cup of coffee, grabbed a few of my favorite cookies, and picked up my must read InStyle magazine.  I was supper comfy and cozy in this Loft Draped Open Cardigan Sweater,  paired with my Loft Striped Long Sleeve Boatneck Tee.  I put on my super soft striped socks from my Loft Triangle Sock Set, and proceeded to lounge a bit on my Brielle Home Faux Fur Throw.  These few minutes of me time truly helped to rejuvenate me for the rest of the day.  Since it’s that hectic time of year, in today’s “Lifestyle Guide”, I thought I would share a few tips on finding some calm before the holiday season storm.

Lifestyle Guide:  Finding Calm Before The Storm

Carve Out Alone Time – Finding a few quiet moments alone during the day can help you clear your head of clutter, and all the to do’s, and allow your overworked brain to get some rest and relaxation.

Assess Progress Daily – At the end of each day, take a few minutes to assess all that you have achieved.  This will foster a sense of accomplishment, and serve as motivation to keep going and face the next day.

Take A Bubble Bath – Nothing soothes the mind and body more than a nice warm bubble bath.  Add a little lavender bath oil to relax tired muscles, and to add a little extra calm to your bath.

Get More Rest – Going to bed earlier than normal can be a challenge, but getting a little more rest can go a long way in increasing your energy levels, and helping you focus better on tackling your to-do’s.

I hope these “Lifestyle Guide” tips will help you find a little calm before the holiday storm.
