Bottom: Loft Modern Skinny Jeans
You’ve seen me wear quite a bit of black and white on the blog, and we all know black and white combinations make strong fashion statements, but the color between them, gray, is definitely a color that has made it’s way onto the fashion scene. No longer considered drab and depressing, gray has now become a color of style.
I’ve added a few gray pieces to my wardrobe this fall and winter, so for today, I decided to combine several of the items in an almost all over gray look. I wore my gray Topshop Marled Longline Vest, my gray BP Marl Cable Knit Turtleneck with my gray wash Loft Modern Skinny Jeans. I threw on my Nine West black Flax Suede Pointed Toe Pump, and grabbed my gray Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Mini Affair bag. Because gray has not always seemed like a go-to fashion color, I thought in today’s “Style Guide”, I would share why gray matters this winter.
Style Guide: Why Gray Matters This Winter
Gray Signifies Good Taste – Gray is no longer dull and boring, it has now become one of the classic colors that signifies good taste and a fashion sense.
Gray Is The Perfect Color For Off Duty Chic Outfits – Gray is a great color to pull off a casual effortless look with style.
Gray Works Well As A Neutral – If you want to expand your wardrobe with a color that works well with many other items in your closet, gray can be that color, as it can serve as a neutral in any outfit.
Gray Has Various Shades – If there is a color that offers a variety of easy to style shades, it’s gray. From heathered, marled, light gray, and dark wash gray, the shades vary, and they all can be easily incorporated into any look.
If you’ve ever considered adding more gray pieces to your closet, I hope this “Style Guide” has given you more reasons to try this cool and functional hue.
