Although winter seems to not be showing any signs of ending, spring is officially only a couple of weeks away. If you’re like me, and you are getting a little tired of layering on heavy coats and clothes, on drab dreary days, here are a few ways to add a touch of spring to any outfit, and begin your winter to spring wardrobe transition.
Try A Trench – A trench coat, depending on it’s weight, can be a perfect winter to spring transition coat, that is versatile enough for this very unpredictable weather. A trench coat can be found in classic, wear with anything light colors (like camel or beige), and it’s lightweight texture can give any outfit a fresh spring feel.
Add A Floral Print – Adding floral prints this time of year can be touchy for some, but if done well, a simple floral touch can lighten up any outfit. To me, florals are a way of adding a little more color to any pairing. When choosing a floral print to add this time of year, choose a fabric that can be worn year round, so the item can be worn now, and into other seasons.
Try A Flare Legged Pant – Wide legged pants have made a comeback, and are definitely on trend. The flare leg, to me, adds movement and airiness to an outfit, while also instantly elevating it’s style.
Best of luck fairing these last few weeks of winter!
