Shoes: Steve Madden ‘Stecy’ Sandal (Black Smooth)
Black and white is one of the most tried and true clothing color combinations out there, and it is definitely one of my favorites. Pairing these two colors in any look can be both modern/trendy or traditional depending on how you style it, and today I’m sharing tips on how to style your black and white outfits. A black and white color palette is very sophisticated, and a palette that transcends all seasons. From black and bright whites in spring and summer, to a little ebony and ivory during fall and winter, this classic color combination is one that truly stands the test of time.
For a casual black and white look, I paired these black ASOS Bell Flare Jeans, with a Monki Asymmetric Hem T-Shirt, and this black and white Textile Federation for ASOS Crop Denim Jacket. As far as jeans go, I have always liked flares, and theses ASOS Bell Flare jeans have a perfect shape and fit. The flare is not too wide, and the waist is a mid-rise, which makes them super comfortable to wear and super easy to style. The Monki T-shirt is a great wardrobe addition to compliment any outfit, and you can never have too many white tee’s. The asymmetrical hem adds to the versatility of this tee, allowing you to style it both inside and outside of whatever bottom it’s paired with. This Textile Federation crop denim jacket is definitely different from your normal denim jacket. The black and white print gives it a stylish appeal, and it can easily be paired with other items, like ankle pants, flared trousers, midi skirt, or even worn over a dress. I added my Steve Madden black ‘Stecy’ sandals, and my Rebecca Minkoff black Quilted Mini Affair bag to complete the outfit.
Like most people, I have my share of black and white clothing items in my closet, and I tend to migrate to this color combination when adding to my wardrobe because of it’s styling versatility, so I thought it might be helpful to share a few tips on how to style black and white outfits in today’s “Style Guide”.
